On-Site Leadership Training for Chapter Leaders at AMPP Annual Conference + Expo 2026

    March 16, 2026 Lydia Prazak

Conference week is here — and if you’re onsite at the AMPP Annual Conference + Expo, your schedule is probably already full.

The tradeshow floor is buzzing. Sessions are stacked back-to-back. Conversations are happening everywhere.

But here’s a question worth asking:

Are you using this week to strengthen your chapter — not just attend conference?

This year, we’re offering focused, practical leadership training specifically for chapter leaders inside the AMPPiTheater on the tradeshow floor. These sessions are built around the real challenges chapters face every day — marketing without being marketers, recruiting volunteers without burnout, and building sustainable sponsorship revenue.

Whether you attend live or access available tools afterward, this is training designed to create impact long after conference ends.

Why On-Site Training Matters for Chapter Leaders

Conference isn’t just about technical learning. It’s also one of the only times each year when chapter leaders are all in one place.

That makes it the perfect opportunity to:

      • Step back and evaluate how your chapter is operating
      • Learn practical systems (not theory)
      • Ask questions in real time
      • Walk away with tools you can implement immediately

Instead of going home with a stack of business cards and good intentions, you can leave with a clear plan.

Mark your calendar and join us for on-site training, specifically for chapter leaders.

Session 1: How to Know If Your Chapter’s Marketing Is Working (Without Being a Data Nerd)

    Tuesday, March 17 | 11:30 AM–12:00 PM

    Location: Exhibit Hall-AMPPiTheater

Many chapter leaders are doing marketing — emails, event promotions, LinkedIn posts — but aren’t sure if it’s actually working.

This session breaks it down simply:

      • Which metrics actually matter for chapters
      • How to measure success using tools you already have
      • Small adjustments that can increase attendance and engagement

No advanced reporting. No marketing degree required.

Session 2: Volunteer Recruitment Made Simple for Chapter Leaders

    Wednesday, March 18 | 1:00 PM–1:30 PM

    Location: Exhibit Hall-AMPPiTheater

If your chapter relies on the same few people every time, you’re not alone.

    This session focuses on:

      • Breaking responsibilities into manageable roles
      • Making clear, confident volunteer asks
      • Keeping members engaged so they’re willing to help again

Strong chapters aren’t built on burnout — they’re built on shared ownership.

Session 3: Smart Sponsorships: Building Chapter Support That Lasts

    Wednesday, March 18 | 2:00 PM–3:00 PM

     Location: Exhibit Hall-AMPPiTheater

Sponsorship isn’t about asking for money — it’s about building partnerships.

    This session walks through:

      • Creating sponsorship packages that are clear and valuable
      • Pricing with confidence
      • Identifying and approaching potential sponsors
      • Maintaining long-term relationships

If your chapter wants sustainable revenue growth, this is foundational.

How to Make the Most of Conference Week

    If you’re onsite:

      • Open the conference app and add these sessions to your schedule.
      • Invite another chapter leader from your board to attend with you.

If you’re not able to attend:

Smart Sponsorships: Building Chapter Support That Lasts, is already available as a webinar you can watch on the AMPP Chapter Leaders Resources Page. We are working to make the other two session available as well.  The goal isn’t just to attend a session — it’s to equip leaders with systems that strengthen chapters year-round.

Strong Chapters Don't Happen by Accident

Chapter success doesn’t come from working harder.

It comes from working smarter — measuring what matters, recruiting with intention, and building sustainable partnerships.

Whether you join us live in the AMPPiTheater this week or apply these tools afterward, the opportunity is the same:

Use conference as a launch point for stronger leadership.

And if you’re onsite at the AMPP Annual Conference + Expo, I’ll see you there.
