AMPP to Host “Coffee with the Congressman”

Featuring Rep. Wesley Hunt at Annual Conference + Expo

AMPP will host a special “Coffee with the Congressman” event featuring U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) from 8 to 10 a.m. CT on Monday, March 16, during the AMPP Annual Conference + Expo in Houston. Presented by the Corrosion and Coatings Political Action Committee (PAC), the event is free to all registered conference attendees, with advance RSVP required.

Representing Texas’ 38th Congressional District, Congressman Hunt serves on the House Natural Resources and Judiciary Committees, where energy development and infrastructure policy are key priorities. During this session, attendees will hear directly from Congressman Hunt and gain insight into federal priorities affecting energy, infrastructure, and the corrosion and coatings industry.

This event provides a unique opportunity to engage with policymakers and understand how decisions in Washington directly impact materials protection, workforce development, and long-term asset performance.

AMPP Marks Five Years United and Looks Ahead

In 2026, AMPP reaches an important milestone: five years united as a global organization. To mark the occasion, AMPP is kicking off a yearlong fifth-anniversary initiative, Forged by History. Focused on the Future, highlighting the progress made since 2021 and the direction of the profession moving forward.

Since its formation, AMPP has delivered measurable value for the materials protection and performance community—providing standards access to members, lowering membership costs, modernizing certifications, expanding global engagement, and growing its membership by nearly 26 percent worldwide.

The anniversary initiative is not a look back, but a forward-focused effort that will unfold throughout 2026. Planned activities include global member storytelling, thought leadership releases, branded activations at major AMPP events, and continued alignment with workforce development and innovation programs.

AMPP Expands Global Distribution Through BSB Edge Partnership

AMPP has finalized a strategic partnership with BSB Edge to expand international access to AMPP standards through a leading global distribution platform.

BSB Edge, an India-based standards aggregator and exclusive distributor of Bureau of Indian Standards publications, provides access to more than 20 leading standards developing organizations (SDOs) and serves over 20,000 customers across India, the Middle East, Africa, and East Asia. Through this agreement, AMPP standards will be incorporated into multi-SDO subscription offerings, increasing accessibility in key industrial markets.
