AMPP Awards Now Open for Nominations
Do you know someone whose work in the materials protection and performance industry deserves recognition on a global stage? Nominations are now open for the 2025 AMPP Awards, honoring the best of the best in every category. From groundbreaking research and technical innovation to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and field work, these awards celebrate the individuals and teams who set the standard for our profession.
This year’s program introduces two exciting new awards:
- Robert Baboian Successful and Innovative Field Application of Corrosion Technology Award – Recognizing inspectors, technologists, engineers, and other field practitioners who excel in corrosion control through exceptional execution, innovative techniques, and problem-solving that ensures long-term service.
- AMPP Craftmanship Award – Celebrating individuals whose talent, passion, dedication, and discipline shine through in their craft, delivering superior results without requiring formal education as a prerequisite.
Submissions are open until September 30, 2025. Don’t miss the opportunity to spotlight the achievements shaping our industry’s future.
AMPP Board Chair Juan Caballero Appointed Coordinator of SPIA Corrosion Commission

AMPP congratulates Board Chair Juan Caballero on his appointment as Coordinator of the Corrosion Commission for the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects (SPIA).
In this role, Juan will lead initiatives to strengthen corrosion prevention efforts in Panama, promote professional collaboration, and share best practices to protect critical infrastructure.
He will also represent the commission in national and international forums, ensuring Panama’s expertise is part of the global conversation.

- Complete the General Application and select the program(s) you’d like to apply for.
- Once submitted, you’ll be auto-matched with scholarships you qualify for, no additional application needed.
- For scholarships listed under Recommended Opportunities, you’ll need to provide additional materials such as essays or documents. Simply click “Apply” to complete and submit those.
- You can edit your application anytime before the December 1 deadline. Just log in, make your changes, and click “Update Your Application.”
