AMPP and DoD Continue Partnership to Strengthen Military Readiness Through Corrosion Training

AMPP is proud to continue its long-standing partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to provide corrosion and protective coatings training and certification to military personnel across all branches. The next round of courses runs from September 30, 2025, through March 29, 2026.dod-summary

Funded by the DoD Corrosion Policy and Oversight (CPO) Office, the program equips service members with the expertise to safeguard mission-critical assets and infrastructure. Training areas include corrosion prevention, cathodic protection, surface preparation and coatings application, and coatings inspection.

Funding is first-come, first-served, and covers course registration and materials (travel is not included). Participants are encouraged to register at least 21 days before the course starts.

While some activities may be temporarily delayed, AMPP and the DoD CPO Office remain committed to actively supporting field- and intermediate-level personnel in corrosion prevention efforts.

    AMPP MEMBER MOMENTS

PowerUP: Harvest New Connections, Reap Real Results

When our members talk about why they joined, they recall a moment, a spark that changed their trajectory. For one, it was a chapter meeting where a stranger became a mentor. For another, AMPP became the platform that turned questions into breakthroughs.

It starts with a connection that cultivates opportunity. AMPP is not just another association. It is a catalyst that turns questions into fixes, courses into credentials, and contacts into collaborators. It connects you to people and knowledge you cannot always reach on your own and turns that access into momentum you can measure in your work.

Fall is a time for change and reflection. It is a season to reset your compass, align your goals, and envision the year ahead. As you look back and plan for success in 2026, ask what the right connections could do for you. What could they spark? Imagine a community rooted in corrosion prevention and protection, where expertise is shared, questions are welcome, and progress is the point. This fall, PowerUP and let a single spark ignite your next chapter.
